Hm... Firstly, I have experienced the BEST after sales service from Hublot.

In my case, I have been bugging the heck out Hublot MBS Singapore though NONE of my Hublots was bought from them Each time they always keep track of the repair (same watch, 4 times already) and always inform me the progress. When I go there to ask questions each time with no intention to buy, every staff has always been polite and helpful. Definitely, I recommend anyone who goes to Singapore to visit Hublot Marina Bay Sands. Hong Kong is also very professional, and I dress very casually :p
Mr Biver is also very helpful and fast in handling customers. I think he is the ONLY boss in the world of horology to personally answer my e-mails (a small collector of Hublots, only 3...for now) as well as other customers, whether it's about Hublot or something else. I appreciate this kind of gesture very much, he's more like a friend than a CEO (well, now it's Mr Guadalupe).
My suggestion is to contact Mr Biver directly and he will sort it out, guaranteed. I hope your watch will be like new again in less than 3 months.
R/e AP, I heard from my friend who buys and sells watches, his most complains come from customers who buy AP (ROO to be precise) as well as Patek (really??) . I cannot comment on anything else as I own neither AP ROO (used to a long time ago but sold it) nor Patek.
Sorry for the long reply, I hope all is well for you and your newly acquired Hublot.
