As an 'olde school' collector, I remember when Crocco's original Hublot model (quartz movement and later mechanical) combined form and function with a credible story. First rubber strap on gold watches that could be worn by Kings and Princes under a tuxedo sleeve.
This new Hublot Oceanographic 4000 may be the first model in the re-vamped Hublot to have a credible story. It does what it says on the box.
It should appeal to 3 types of collectors:
1) Dedicated Hublot collectors who must have every Hublot model.
2) Dedicated divers' watch collectors.
3) People who want to have the biggest baddest watch on their wrist.
As they say, "Those who can...do; those who can't...whine". Or was that 'teach'?
You know what I mean: If it's too big for your wrist, leave it for those who can wear it.....we have a choice.
Thanks Ken for the Quick Review.
