Like this one quite a bit!

Hi,

This edition is a wonderfully understated piece, if that can be said of any Hublot! If Japanese market boutique channels can get the watch, I don't see why they wouldn't.

Not only is the watch objectively handsome and well-executed, but the 24 Hours of LeMans race itself and the European vintage rally circuit seem to be of great interest to Japanese enthusiasts.

Every year, there seems to be at least one major Japanese entry at LeMans. While that used to mean a squad of drivers or a Japanese team running a customer car from a foreign manufacturer, the recent trend seems to be full-scale factory campaigns from Nissan and Toyota. A Japanese hotshoe driver in Toyota's lead car took pole this year and looked to have winning speed before mechanical misfortune. My understanding is that Toyota will be back next year, and Nissan is about to launch a full-scale factory effort of their own.

As far as the vintage rally landscape is concerned, Japanese collectors have been players in the scene for a while now. If Hublot's intentionally stocking the Tour Auto in Japan, good move!
