Some news … a new discovery after some digging on my part. 🔍
What if I told you that the owners of Girard-Perregaux in the 1980s also owned part of Audemars Piguet?😮
Yep, Desco von Schulthess or DESCO for short owned 100 % of GP in the 1980s.
DESCO bought over GP from the daughter and son-in-law of Otto Graef in 1979.
DESCO held a significant percentage of AP in the 1980s at the same time as when they owned GP
DESCO also owned Maurice Lacroix.
DESCO still owns part of AP today.
Who would have thought this possible right?
GP does not mention any ownership by Desco on their website or social media.
