I've never felt I could really wear the 45mm Fifty Fathoms and eventually just gave up being interested in it for that reason. Now that there's a 42mm titanium version, I should be thinking "they've finally got the watch for me!" but somehow it's leaving me a bit cold in comparison.

I know it's the same color that people use AS fauxtina, but this watch just is not a throwback at all, not trying to look like it's 40+ years old and has faded dial colors. On this watch I'd argue it's not fauxtina, it's just yellowish lume.
Same wrist size (16cm), same desired PAMs (233 and 372 or something in that realm), same disappointment that makes me, every year or two, start thinking again, "Maybe I can do it...."
