It’s perfect the way it is (especially after you get the AP tool that helps in the winding and date setting processes).

I hope and expect 2022 models are as perfect as previous ones. Nothing I would change on this one ...
Beautiful. And perfect...

While I look forward to the 2022 models, I have to say, this model is already so perfect that I can't imagine the 2022 models being any better...

Indeed. Unless you go gray...

Or spend an incredible amount of money, you really need an established relationship with a boutique.
Yes I agree wholeheartedly…but two considerations!

Would you update the movement to be a quickset? As you pointed out, you need a special tool to wind / set the date with the crown. And What about this watch in full cermet, or at least with the bezel? But this remains the ultimate icon. Cheers Peter
Personally, I am not bothered by the current date mechanism...

It goes with the charm of that particular Royal Oak. But why not update it? Perhaps they will use a newer in-house movement that offers a quickset date. Cermet, absolutely. For all the criticism of AP doing too many versions of things, they have mostly al...
Good points!

Sometimes the quirks and features add to the charm and uniqueness of this model. I guess it’s more important to keep with the original base movement and it’s features. Amazing still that anything that is 50 years older looks so classic and timeless…wherea...
I would definitely wish for a quickset.
By: rip9er : December 15th, 2021-11:25
Although the date adjustment is still better than the 24h non quickset mechanisms it is still a pain to adjust. The 15202 I find is the nicest looking RO but I wouldn’t mind a movement update. Just to be clear it shouldn’t be on the expense of the size an...

15300
By: telackey : December 17th, 2021-17:59
I am fond of the 15300 with the 3120 movement. I do not mind the modest increase to 9.4mm. I like the overall size and the classic white date wheel. I would, however, prefer two hands, though I go back and forth on this.
They do offer a 1.5 link

I I think for most wrists, that allows for a very good fitment. But not adjustable on the fly, that is for sure.
Indeed.

The perfect AP!

Can not get any better than that.
I certainly hope

That they will leave the date window behind. And please more green dials
Interesting thought.

I have had it as well. But I am in no way bothered by the date on this model, especially with the matching color.
