PoT October 2014 – Hublot factory tour – 4th and last part

This is the fourth and last part of the Hublot factory tour report, when we had some good time having lunch and relaxing with some watches. If you would like to read the rest of the report, here you can find the links:
My impressions were very, very good: the warm atmosphere, the very pleasant lunch and - of course - the beautiful watches! You know, to see and touch a timepiece in the real life is an undeniable experience and to try it on the wrist is the only way to "talk" with the piece and to really feel if it's made for you or not.
Ok, let’s start with some watches on display. I'm sorry you will find these pictures so-so: lighting conditions weren't the best.
I’ve already talked about this really important reference: the Hublot Big Bang Ferrari Magic Gold. Beyond the big attractiveness of the exclusive material, I find this piece really fashinating and highly desirable.
My most interesting experience was indeed with the special pieces we had the chance to try: the MP 02 Key of Time, the MP 08 Antikythera Sunmoon and the MP 05 LaFerrari. All of them are really big for my wrist, that measures 17,5 cm., but they are much more than simply “watches”: they are a Manifesto of technical capability, cultural maturity and lively fantasy. In brief: they want to represent the values and vision of Hublot, they put “in design and in mechanics” the phrase “The art of Fusion”. That said, I have to say that, once on your wrist, they are aesthetically far better than in pictures.
Some watches were available for wrist-test. Now, I’d like to share pictures of the watches I’ve preferred.
The Hublot Classic Fusion Skeleton Tourbillon Titanium
The Hublot Big Bang Unico All Black Limited Edition Boutique Exclusive. This matt black piece is proposed with red, blue, green or orange accents. Playing with the watch, I’ve noticed that the chronograph minute counter doesn’t jump when a minute has passed; this feature should be connected to the use of a double clutch: a quite unique solution that should affect positively the accuracy. Another peculiarity of the UNICO movement is having the column wheel visible dial side. Some notes on the strap. First of all, notice the fast strap attachment, via the button between the lug screws. The strap is made from alligator sewn onto rubber. The déployante clasp is quite easy to set and to operate and it’s comfortable.
