Hublot Novelty LIVE Photos - tour in Tokyo!

Mar 08, 2013,18:23 PM

Hublot Japan invited me to their office and gave me a chance to take the pics of some of the novelties (announced so far) live.  There will be more to be announced at Basel in April, but so far which is most appealing to you?

1. Big Bang Zebra Gold 341.PX.7518.VR.1975, LE of 250
41mm, 18k Red Gold

Baguette: 41 Black Spinel + 17 White Topaz

Zebra Print Calf

2. Big Bang Jeans 301.SX.2710.NR.JEANS, LE of 250
44m, Steel Case

Real jeans fabric

Blue Jeans (hardened by some resin) and Opaline color dial

(naturally) fits well with jeans smile

See the thickness of the Jeans on the dial?

3. Big Bang Ferrari Red Magic Carbon 401.QX.0123.VR, LE of 1000
45mm, Black carbon fiber case

Red sapphire crystal is a bit hard to see through depending on the light angle.

The best angle to see...

As before, the chrono buttons are shaped as the pedals of Ferrari cars and the feeling is so soft to stop and reset.

This button lets you change the strap very easily.

Ferrari horse is where UNICO movement normally places the small second subdial (no second hand on these models)

Not bad at all....

The tip of the buckle is carbon fiber as well.

4. Big Bang Ferrari All Black 401.CX.0123.VR, LE of 1000
45mm, Black ceramic (may not look black due to the light on this photo)

Red line accent....

Honestly, I like this one better.

Red Magic legibility is easily affected by the angle of the light....

5. Classic Fusion Classico Ultra Thin King Gold White Shiny 515.OX.2210.LR, not LE
45mm, 18K King Gold

Lacquer white dial

Pretty elegant.

The movement is the same as the other or previous Classic Fusion Ultra Thin (check the placement of the small second subdial).

6. Classic Fusion Classico Ultra Thin Titanium Black Shiny 515.NX.1270.LR, NOT LE
45mm Titanium
Black Lacquer dial

This one is seriously cool....

Can make a great dress/ business watch.

7. Classic Fusion Classico Ultra Thin Skeleton All Black 515.CM.0140.LR, NOT LE
45mm, Black Ceramic

All black ceramic version of last year's Ultra Thin Skeleton model which got very popular.  This all black version is also very cool.

(the placement of the small second subdial is the same as the two models above)

A bit low legibility, but coolness should cover that smile

8. Classic Fusion Aero Chronograph Titanium, Not LE
45mm Titanium

Lastly, but not the least - very well received at Geneve Fair.

Look really nice in person

Can't complain....

A bit new and unique - see the big "HUBLOT" on the rotor.

Hope you find one or two you like.  Will report again once I get my hands on the novelties announced at BaselWorld.

Have a great weekend.

Special thanks to Nakai-san, PR of Hublot Japan.

Best,
Ken

Ken, Inexplicably, I am strangely drawn to the Big Bang Zebra Gold :-) Sometimes, when you need to go 'over-the-top', its best to really GO...... But seriously, the classic ultra-thins are all good except the 'skeleton' for me. Real watches for real peopl...

I have a feeling...

Despite I've never been a big fan of Hublot, there are some watches in the collection that look very nice. I've owned a Classic GMT and an Elegant Chronograph, sold them both, didn't like them on the wrist. It's a brand I like to see on someone else's wri...

THank you for the nice words...

.. yes, they are evolving and they launch more "matured" models year after year. Classic fusion series had been a bit low profile, sort of easy to ignore series, but these days, it has been attracting different type of people and that gave the depth and w...

Thanks a lot for the report Ken!

My fav of this selection: the Chrono Aero of course! I really like this watch. Thanks for the report! Fx ...

Two stand out for me

...the Ultra Thin Titanium and the Aero Chrono Titanium. If only they came in a smaller case size. HAGWE, Richard

I know what you mean...

... but just try it on. Thanks to the relatively thick bezel, the case does not wear big, IMVHO, and my less than 6.5" wrist could accept the size :-) Let us crawl these places when you visit Tokyo. Ken

Sounds good

...I might just do that...it might add and complicate my already difficult choice of choosing an everyday watch :-) Looking forward. Best regards, Richard
